The 1.4ha site on which Forest Woods EC will be developed was released by sale in October 2015. The winning bid came from a joint venture consisting of City Developments (CDL), Hong Leong Holdings and TID which submitted the top bid of $321 million which translates to $710 per sq ft per plot ratio (psf ppr). This was 2.6 per cent above the next highest bid. The number of 11 bids received was typical of several recent land sales. The cost per square ft after development is expected to be about $1300.

Forest Woods EC is located along Lorong Liew Lian and offers close proximity to the Serangoon bus interchange and MRT station which interconnects the North East and Circle lines as well as the NEX Shopping Mall.
